  • MA RAD RTS Rambert Grades

    Susie started dancing at Gedling Ballet School in Nottingham. At age 8 she successfully auditioned for a place as a Royal Ballet School Associate and attended classes there for 6 years. During her time as an RBS associate, she was picked to perform and tour with Birmingham Royal Ballet in various productions, most notably as Morgan Le Fay in the ballet ‘Arthur’ at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and then on a UK tour.

    At age 14 Susie accepted a scholarship place at Elmhurst Assoc. School of Birmingham Royal Ballet, and then went on to complete her training at Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance. At Rambert Susie achieved a BA (Hons) as well as an MA in Advanced Dance Performance.

    Susie has worked with many choreographers as a student such as Kerry Nicholls, Ross McKim and Mark Baldwin and her professional work includes Ballet Theatre UK, Ampersandance, Royal Shakespeare Company and English National Opera.

    During her time training and performing Susie was teaching in various schools and establishments over the country, including being the ballet coach for the figure skaters at the National Ice centre. In 2020 she became a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and Rambert Grades, she currently teaches in a number of settings in London, Watford and Nottingham.

    As a devoted teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience Susie enjoys working with all ages and abilities. Bringing a warmth and energy into her lessons, Susie fosters a love for dance and encourages others to share in that passion.

  • Lesya Tyminska is a dance artist and teacher based in London. She has navigated her way through various disciplines of dance and movement.

    Starting her dance training at the age of 6 with Gedling Ballet school, she quickly found a love for ballet. Throughout her childhood and teenage years she trained with Birmingham Royal Ballet on their associates scheme and also passed her RAD Grade 8 and Advanced 1 exams with distinction.

    After her early training she was accepted into Rambert School to begin her vocational education, here she found a love for contemporary dance and gained more experience in performing, choreographing and other dance techniques.

    Since graduating in 2017 she has had the opportunity to dance and teach with various companies and choreographers in Denmark, United Kingdom, Switzerland and India. She has also worked closely with Yorkshire Sculpture park, Dance4 (now known as Fabric), DanceEast, TripSpace, Siobhan Davies Studios and has worked with a wide range of people including: professional dancers, children and adults with special educational needs (SEN), children in mainstream schools, private classes on a 1-1 basis, and intergenerational /community groups. As well as dance Lesya also has a strong passion for Yoga and breath work, and often incorporates this into her teaching. Lesya is very excited to be working alongside Hackney Ballet!
